What makes an effective children's writer? Nine years spent teaching all sorts of pupils has taught me several answers to this question... It helps to be lively, write with
humour and talk (write!) to your readers, never down to them. I've always tried to write in this style and, since freelancing, I've been hired by clients all over the world to write and edit children's stories and poems, educational resources, articles, eBooks and web copy.
